I was just streaming and i was trying to figure out how to use 2 web cams at once during this process it all of the sudden said my elgato was being used in another application. It was working perfectly fine 0 problems. now i cant stream. ive checked youtube google, everything and cant find anyone with the same problem. I check my task manager and all i have running is OBS so i dont know where my elgato could be being used elsewhere. I only use it on OBS. i tried rebooting everything and nothing worked. I also went to the extent of unplugging everything and still no fix. I really could use some help ASAP. thanks

Then please let me inform you of some common sense courtesy that people who ask for help should exhibit:

1. If you're asking for help in a forum (or IRC chat), do a search to see if your question has already been answered.

2. Read the "READ ME", or "LOOK HERE FIRST" or "PLEASE READ ME FIRST" (etc) posts that are stickied at the top of the forum that you are posting in.

3. If you think this is too much work, or don't want to spend the time on it, please remember that the people replying are spending their free/personal time to try to help you... without payment of any type, so you could have the common decency to follow their instructions... including the ones posted in BIG BOLD RED LETTERS AT THE TOP OF THE FORUM.

4. If you are in too big of a hurry to do #3, then don't bother posting. If you had done #3 (i.e. read the aforementioned posts), you'd have already known what a log is, posted it, and most likely have received an answer with the solution to your problem.

Imagine that... you'd already be back up and running if you had spent a moment earlier being courteous and considerate of others' time.

Then you likely added a new video capture device source to add the source to a new scene instead of adding the existing source to the new scene.

I dont know what it was but i got my fellow streamer friend to help me. All I had to do was restart my computer, which i thought I did but I guess I didnt shut it off completely. Thanks for your help though, I appreciate it. Sorry for kind of wasting your time.
