So, this used to just be an issue when I would use mr AX3000 router, wired to my pc via cat 8. I cvant stream to any platform, at any bitrate, at any resolution. I just get massive dropped frames. So i would just use my Cuda52 modem right to my PC and i could stream to youtube in 4k 60fps like i want to. Ran a 12 hour stream yesterday. Go to start this morning, and the same issue is now when the modem is wired to the pc. WTF.
Did a complete reset and installed both modem and router per their manuals. Re-installed my modem in the xfinity app. I've downloaded Wireshark and I'm getting tons of TCP Duplicate Acknowledgments, which is usually caused by lag or internet speed, right?. So, I ran ping tests. Ran a ping test from my PC to my router. All was perfect. Ran a ping test from the router to pc, and it was perfect. Ran a ping test from my PC to the YouTube server IP. Also, it is very low latency. Ran a ping test(from PC and from the router) to Xfinity's server, also great. I tried changing the DNS servers in the router. Didn't make a difference. I set static IPs in the PC and the router. No difference. I made sure to bind the IP addresses. Same thing. I installed a new driver on my ethernet card. Didn't change anything. I tried everything setting in the router. I tried every firewall setting in Windows and my router. No differences All my speed and latency tests online come back as i would expect. for my 2gb upload 300mb download package. I also set all the neccsary ports forward in my router and in my PC's firewall rules. Also having the firewalss off in the PC and router make no difference. having the router in DMZ mode makes no difference. I had the cable company out here and they showed me thsat i have 2gb speeds right at the cable where it goes in my house.
Ive also re downloaded OBS and reinstalled. No luck.
Im at a loss. I believe its an issue with my iSP, but I dont know what. what do I do? lol PLEASE HELP!
