Question / Help Can't separate audio for my game sound and discord sound

I have a wireless headset (Bose Quite Comfort 5.1 surround sound)
I have this headset set as my default device on my pc as it's the only way for me to hear game sound/discord, but if i want to record my game sound separate to discord audio i can only select my default device (my headset) this causes the audio to record together.
I don't think there is a way around this as i've tried almost everything but if u know of anything i can download etc that'd help.

Personally I use Voicemeeter banana to split up discord and gamesound. But that is a rather elaborate setup.
