Can't record multiple audio tracks, please help

My intention is to record .mkv files with two audio tracks, one containing only my desktop audio and the other containing only my mic audio.

My desktop audio and mic audio both show up on OBS during recording but I can only play back the desktop audio (track 1). I'm not sure but the recordings may actually have the second audio track and it's just empty. I've only tried opening them in davinci resolve as that's all I have but I'm open to using another free video editor to confirm that it's not just resolve doing this.

In the screenshot you can see A1 contains my desktop audio, and when I added the clip, resolve added A2, which contains nothing. This project file consists of multiple test recordings attempting to solve this problem.

If this seems like OBS is functioning properly and it's just davinci resolve please let me know.

Oh man thank you so, so much, this works perfectly! I'm really glad my previously recorded footage has both tracks too. Thanks for going out of your way to help even though this isn't really an OBS issue lol
