Question / Help Can't record games!

So, I have a Youtube channel where I post gameplay
but, heres the problem
I can't record the games themselves, as I mostly play RPG Maker or Windowed Games.
So, for example...
Say I play SCP Containment Breach (recommend it, btw)
the Default size I use is 1280x720
yet, it wont show up
Or, say I play a RPG Maker game
Their usually 640x480
and that wont work either for OBS

if anyone out there can help me, PLEASE DO.
I REALLY WANNA PLAY THESE GAMES FOR YOUTUBE!

Also, I can't even record full screen games either.
to where I have to use Display Capture (AKA Records Monitor) as my only way to record games
So again

RPG Maker games and SCP Containment Breach don't use DirectX 9 or above, which means Game Capture won't work. You can only record them with Window Capture or Display Capture. As an RPG Maker player, I feel your pain.

You must have misread my previous post. The games you're playing don't support DirectX 9 or above while OBS only supports DirectX 9 and above. I think you meant to ask if there are recorders that support DirectX 8 or below. In which case, I don't know.

Add a crop filter, or hold the ALT key and drag the borders of the source in the OBS preview.
