Question / Help Can't record above ~70FPS smoothly?

I'm trying to record 120fps. Depending on where I am in-game, I vary from 100-2,000 FPS without recording (Minecraft). In the areas I'm testing this, I'm getting 300-600 FPS. However, when I try to record above 70FPS, there are random frame drops. Limiting my in-game FPS to 120 has not helped, either. I asked a friend, and he says he just copied someone's settings, but he doesn't remember who and I couldn't find one that works. I'll attach a log soon, but I'm currently using QuickSync at 1080p120, CRF 12, game capture. PC is GT 1030 2GB (GDDR5), 8GB RAM, i5-4670 (in turbo mode, 3.8ghz)

FOR ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM: Apparently, many versions of VLC have an issue with playing high framerate videos. For some reason, this doesn't start immediately after 60FPS, but rather 70-ish. However, checking my logs showed that I was only losing between 1 and 2 percent of frames (expected when at spawn areas within my game with high actor/entity counts). So, I imported my video into Sony Vegas, and it worked flawlessly, and I mean flawlessly. I could export in 60FPS, I could resample it to 60FPS (and P.S, at least for my setup, 100FPS resampled to 60 actually looks better than 120FPS resampled to 60), I could slow it down, etc. Don't know the issue with VLC, but make sure you check your logs to see if there's any issues before you record.
