Question / Help Can't Monitor Desktop Audio

While it might seem redundant to monitor desktop audio, I need to monitor it to stream it through another PC. I am using a capture card to stream my desktop through my laptop, and while I can monitor my mic through the capture card just fine, I cannot set the desktop audio to do the same. Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks!

I'm confused why you'd need to monitor the desktop audio output. By default, this will be playing out of your speakers. If you enable monitoring on it, you'd be outputting to your desktop audio device and it would create a feedback loop.

What you're trying to do is split audio, which a tool like Voicemeeter Banana would be used for. https://obsproject.com/forum/resour...nagement-for-1-and-2-pc-streaming-setups.397/

That's exactly what I'm trying to do, thank you. I was trying to monitor through the capture card to pick up the audio, that splitter seems like a much easier solution. Thank you!
