Can't install plugins

When I attempt to install a plugin I keep getting this error: "OBS Studio (bin\64bit\obs64.exe) does not seem to be installed in that folder. Please select the correct folder." obs64.exe is in that location?? Can anybody suggest what might be the problem.

Thanks in advance

though, just in case, make sure using the right plugin.. With OBS Studio v28, there is a new UI interface, requiring most plugins to be revised... meaning typically plugins work for OBS Studio 2x up to v27, or are newer Qt6 interface designed for OBS Studio v28 or newer

Select the root OBS install folder (ex. Program Files \ obs-studio), not the inner "64bit" .
Thanks for the reply dev47, however I have tried this already and get the same error, in fact no matter what folder and/or what plugin I try I get the same error.

Thanks for the reply Lawrence, I am running the latest version of OBS Studio and not sure how to tell what version plugins are made for?

OK I tried to install the

Aitum Vertical plugin

for OBS 29+

So it is definitely made for my version of OBS Studio and I get the same error no matter where I try to install it ??

OK first thanks to you guys for trying to help, I have now found out what to do to fix my issue.

I selected "C:\Program Files" instead and now I am able to install plugins ??? Weird

You should contact the creator of the plugin and ask about the issue you're having with their installer.

hi, i am also having this exact message and i have no clue how to fix it, i've checked obs is the latest version of obs, i choose the main folder, i have also tried every other folder i don't know how to install this without getting the same message

@gemzboww The plugin's installer checks if destination file "SelectedPath" + "\bin\64bit\obs64.exe" exist. When the file not found - there is error message.
