I first attempted to install OBS with an older version of iOS and it would just have the logo bouncing on the toolbar and never open. I tried installing restarting installing, restarting, and still nothing. I then updated to Ventura 13.2 and am having the same issue. Any advice?

I had the same issue with a clean install on 13.1, then updated to 13.2 and have the same issue. Crashes on start-up. Any advice?

Intel or Apple silicon Mac? I've read some people are having problems getting OBS to work on Intel Macs running Ventura. I'm running the latest OBS (29.0.2) on a Mac Studio and also on an M1 Mac mini, both running Ventura 13.2, and all works fine for me.

Installed on MacBook Pro M2….all OK but…I’m having problem with my webcams…I use 3 webcams: 1 is a standard webcam and 2 Anker C200…Only one at once works…Installed the new OBS version Apple Silicon but…

I use four webcams at once — two Insta360 Links and two Elgato Facecams running at 1080p30 — plus other video inputs via NDI and capture card (whether using the Mac Studio or M1 Mac mini), no problem. Likely you are having USB power and or bus capacity issues. Try using different ports, and/or a powered USB hub/dock.

Thanks. I’ll Change my usb hub, but, using ”zoom” I can switch between cameras (once a time)

OBS just stopped working for me mid-stream yesterday. I'm on OSX 13.2.1 on an M1 Macbook Pro with OBS 29.0.2. I rebooted and OBS will no longer start. I tried reinstalling the app and still no luck. Are there any fixes for this?

I need want know why my Webcam notice background blurry. but other Quicktime clearly. how can OBS Studio blurry need off how? thanks

I was using OBS on a MacBook Pro m2 pro (Ventura 13.6.2) , and for some reason, I couldn't open it again after closing it. Really frustrating. I uninstalled OBS and downloaded the version 30.0.2, and nothing. Restart = nothing. Uninstall and install again = nothing (one complete week). Then today for some reason it just did open, but it needed me to "allow" OBS to execute, in Settings > Privacy and Security > (OBS text about permits) > Allow. AND IT WORKED! I can use it again (same version I mentioned).

I just realized that with this version of OBS I can't see the drop down menu from SOURCE panel (+). And like it almost crashes when I switch between saved SCENES when trying to return to the scene I mainly use.

It's working intermittently for me on MAC OS 12.6.2 also. It would prompt me for SAFE MODE or NORMAL MODE and I'd see the SPOD.

I downloaded the latest version and "reinstalled" it (drag and drop). It asked if I wanted to keep the old version and I chose "overwrite."
Then, I opened the app and it asked if I wanted to run it in SAFE MODE or NORMAL. I selected NORMAL and it came up smoothly. I shut it down gracefully and did it a few more times. It worked each time. Go figure.

Fortunately, v29.1.3 is still on my HDD so I installed that. Voila. I'll wait until next good version.

Similar Problem here.

Ran OBS v29.0.2 without any problem. Updated to 30.0.0 and I can not get either version of OBS to launch properly.
When I launch OBS, I am asked if I want to launch in Safer Mode (I can do this with no problem).
If I launch OBS normally, it always goes to Not Responding after a few seconds and hangs up.

any suggestions on a solution?
Thanks in advance.

The system is Apple M1 Pro. 13.4.1
