Question / Help Can't Install OBS?

So. I've been wanting to use OBS to record for a variety of reasons, ranging from the quality it can achieve to the vast amount of customizable features that it has to the ability to stream and etc. I haven't been able to download OBS in the past, so I had settled with DXTory. However, DXTory has a very odd problem relating to lag spikes, but having solid 60+ fps the rest of the time, so I decided once and for all I would have to switch to OBS. The only problem... I can't. I have Windows Vista, which is supported as long as I have SP2, but neither Service Pack 1 or 2 will install. It will open, and install for hours, and when very near to finishing, gives me an error and sends me a link to a Microsoft page that no longer exists and has been replaced with the same problem, but instead of for Vista, for Win7, 8, and 10. Help!

The reason is Vista, is no longer supported that's why you can't update it and why that page is no longer active.
You may be able to get the Service Pack from a after market site but I would be careful doing it that way.

Okay, thank you. I have found a few other forums with people with similar problems, I will refer to there as well.
