Can't Hear Audio in OBS Playback, although I can hear it on Media Player

I have made several recordings using OBS. I imported the videos into a new project. I can't hear the audio during playback. I have watched tutorials, read blogs, and searched the forum and can't find a solution. THE AUDIO was recorded. I know the audio is there, because when I imported the clips into Cap Cut I could hear the audio.
What can I do to hear the audio so I can finish this project?

Also note that some sound cards work just fine with this, and others slowly drift out of sync. The reason has to do with where the sound card gets its clock - independently or from the host, which is almost impossible to predict - and with how the Monitor is written as a network stream and not a real-time one. (every hiccup, like from a mismatched clock, expands the buffer, with no limit)
