Question / Help Can't get right channel of audio from HDMI input. Driving me crazy!

I have an issue that is driving me crazy. I cannot get the right channel of audio from an HDMI source to play in OBS on my laptop. The same setup works just fine on my desktop, but my laptop ONLY sees the left channel even though all the settings are the same. I'm using a Sony camera with HDMI output into a ClonerAlliance capture box, but I don't think the hardware is the issue because both channels show up in OBS just fine when I have the same box plugged into my desktop PC.

I'm doing live streams with two people on camera, each with their own microphone which is on a separate channel, so I need both channels. The right channel is just blank in OBS even though the camera is showing audio on that channel.

Any ideas? Is there something simple I'm overlooking?

Thanks!

I should clarify that OBS is in Stereo mode, and "Mono" is NOT checked in the Advanced Audio Properties panel for the capture box audio input. It looks as though the left channel from the source is being mapped to the left AND right output. I said the right channel is blank but I meant I hear nothing if I mute the left channel in the camera, even though the camera is sending audio in the right channel.

I should also add that when I go into the Windows mic settings, it shows that Windows is still receiving a signal even if the left channel is muted in the camera, so Windows is seeing both channels. For some reason OBS is ignoring the right channel and mapping the left channel there instead. I even tried the rematrix-filter plugin, but still can't get the right channel from my camera to show up.
