Hi,

Happy new year, I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera which I have setup in Template Mode, no matter what IP address I use, I can't get it to preview.

I've tried using Raw URL Mode with rtsp://192.168.1.200:554/Streaming/Channels/1 which works on IPTimelapse program but not OBS.

I must have a setting wrong somewhere, can some kind sole point out the error of my ways.

Cheers

Hi Harold,

I have set a Scene as External Webcams, from this the Source is Hikvision Webcam, right clicking on this, the device selection is IP Camera, using the configure tab, in IPCam properties I have ticked 'use basic authentication', entered the cams username and password.

The interface is v5.8.6.0 from www.webcamXP.com

You may want to try using media source in obs multiplatform instead of a proxy program.

Thanks for the advice, I've installed multiplatform and checking out Media Source, as I'm trying to stream live video from the Hikvision camera I'm at a loss as to what to put in the 'Input', I have tried rtsp://192.168.1.200:554/Streaming/Channels/1 with the input format as mp.4.but with no joy

Selecting 'Video Capture Device' as an alternate to Media Source, leads me back to webcamXP

As you can probably tell I'm a noobie to this, for a live webcam, what would typically be entered in the Input and Input Format fields on the media source page?

Hi Harold

Thanks for taking the time to help me, after taking aspirin, I went back to trying to get OBS to work and I can report success!!

Within OBS when you add a video capture device, a menu opens for device selection, within the dropdown menu was IP Camera, entering configuration for this was my make and model of IP Camera and this is where I was going wrong, I should have looked at other options within the Camera Brand and selected webcamXP.

Entering the rest of the IP settings from Webcam 7 Broadcast (HTTP) page, everything fired up :-)

Easy when you know how!!

Thanks again

Ian
