Hey, No matter what settings i use i can't get a smooth stream. I've tried both 1080p and 720@60,45 and 30fps with bitrate and buffer from 1500-3300. Still the stream get laggy. Note at all settings i never dropped a frame. Used both game capture and software capture. Results the same.

My PC specs are:
  • CPU: Intel core i5 2500k 3.2Ghz
GPU: 2x GeForce 560 Ti SLI
    MBord: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe GEN3
    RAM: 16gb 1600mhz corsair vengeance DDR3

What can i change to get it more smooth? From the log above the stream ran fine for about 10 minutes before i started to lose fps ingame(went from 230ish to around 140). http://www.Twitch.tv/Zyraxon There u can watch all videos. The oldest are with the best settings and then it goes down to the settings used in the log above. The game im trying to stream is League of Legends.

Thanks in advance!

You have a monitor capture and a window capture on at the same time, and aero is enabled as well.

1.) Choose which you want to do, monitor capture, or window capture (I recommend window capture), then delete the other.
2.) If you choose to use monitor capture in windows 7/vista, you must disable aero in video settings to increase performance. If you choose to use window capture, aero is actually typically better left on instead of off. Window capture is usually much faster for capture than monitor capture, though you then can't see the desktop after.

The only thing im doing with the window capture is a sub-region to show which song i'm currently playing. Is it really that big of a interference?

Your log lists both window capture and monitor capture in the same scene. Now of course you -can- bypass it by disabling it, but generally I recommend people use separate scenes for those things rather than use disable in that way.

Monitor capture -will- lag everything if used with aero. And your log file seems to indicate it is currently active.

Okay done some testing now and i am really confused. I tried to stream with my laptop at my mothers house. To start with the internet speed there is 30/10 and this is my laptop http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hard...-3610qm-4gb-500gb-173-gtx660m_2gb-bt-win_7_hp I could stream 1080p @ 60FPS without any problem. And i was really happy and thought that as soon as i get to my dads house i will try my new settings there. Since my computer there is far better then my laptop i thought getting a smooth stream was no problem anymore.

But ofc i get to my dads house change all the settings to match what i had at my mothers house only to see that there is no change the stream is still lagging. The main diffrence between my laptop and my dekstop is that my laptop runs a i7 and my desktop a i5 and i run SLI on my desktop. I have no idea what i need to do or need to change. Can it be a ISP problem? That somehow the signal get interuppted or something?

Give up on 1080p60fps, Flash player just will not handle it smoothly. I've done numerous tests on a pretty beefy system to confirm this. Playback in Flash player is jittery and annoying, while the same exact VOD when downloaded and played back in a media player is 100% smooth.

Would like to see another recent log from the desktop PC is possible, as that is the one you are trying to set up. Still not really sure why you are sticking to monitor capture as it's the slowest method by far in Windows 7.

Okay, How does 1600x900 do? Can flash player handle that better? Also i mainly use monitor capture because sometimes i play small indie games like Binding of Isaac when i'm having a big waiting time for a game. And i dont feel like switching scenes. But i will try out differend ways to see which one works the best for me. Also, I was able to stream smoothly today for some reason. Don't know if it been something with my ISP but all of a sudden it works better.

Here is a log when i was trying 720p. For some reason my recent 1080p log is gone.

Yeah, I suspect the culprit here is Monitor Capture. It's just not very good on Windows 7 when trying for 60fps stream.

I played around with the settings today. And it worked well. But can you have a Game source and windows capture in the same source? or will the stream run better if i only have one of them? Is there any tricks to get rid of pixelation and get a clearer quality? Or does that mean i'll need to run a higher resolution?

This is how my Stream look atm. I got a game source at the top so it automatically swicthes to the game when it starts.

Try ONLY using Software Capture of your desktop; and then playing your games on Borderless mode. Works like a charm for me.

Try these settings...

Bitrate / Buffer: 4000
Quality: 6
Base Reso: 1920 x 1080
Downscale: 1280 x 720
Disable Aero on start-up: check
FPS: 45
Priority Class: Above Normal (or High if you can)
CPU Preset: Very Fast
Audio: AAC / 128
Bind to Interface: *Your ip address*

A better solution would be to keep your window capture and game capture, but put them on separate scenes and use the scene switcher plugin in the plugins forum.

Also note that 4000 bitrate + 320 bitrate audio is probably overkill for 720p60fps in a game like LoL, and you have to keep in mind many people have issues viewing even 3000 bitrate. I would really recommend 192 audio at most, and no more than 3200-3500 bitrate for 720p60fps CBR

As far as pixelation, that's just a part of streaming especially in high motion cases where you are moving the screen around a lot. The only real solution to pixelation is more and more bitrate, which obviously has its own issues.

Will try that plugin. Now everything works alot better and i've gotten a greater understanding of everything. Thanks for all the answers and help i really appriciate it!

EDIT: That is one amazing plugin!
