Question / Help Cant get a laggfree strem over 1000kb/s

Hello

I just switched to OBS and really like it :)

But i am having some problems. After spending the day trying to get a laggfree stream i realized i need to set kb/s under 1000 no matter what. If i set it above 1000 it will lagg more or less regardless of my other settings. I dont get any dropped frames so this is a bit confusing when i have 100/10 mbit connection. Did some test on the different EU servers and i dint notice any differance. To get a decent quality on this low speed im using medium as x264. I can stream at 1120x700 and its working ok~ich.

Any tips or comments on how to improve?

According to that second ShaperProbe output, you are getting an upload rate of ~1.3 Mbps to Amsterdam. If you don't have CBR enabled on your stream, then 1000 is more or less the highest you can go without risking dropping frames due to bit rate spikes. With CBR you might be able to go up by 100 or so, but that's not that much.

From reading your logs you seem to get 1.3-1.4mb's which is a big different to 10mb's which you said, if i was you i would get hold of your ISP and have a chat with them but your missing out on 9mb's of your upload. (Most ISP's do powerboost your connection when they see your doing a speedtest, but with testmy.net and sharpeprob they test bigger files than 256kb so it thinks your not doing a speedtest.)

Those are both "TestMy.net" tests the second one (closer server) shows that you can upload at 1.3 MBps (little over 10Mbps) obs logs show that you're not dropping frames when you're not picking Frankfurt.

Enable "Mnimize network impact" to help you with the lag from your broadcasting settings and keep using London as your igest server and set the preset back to veryfast.
