So i recently purchased an elgato hd60 pro for my pc, real quick pc specs, i7, gtx980, 16gb ram, plenty. when i turn on the game capture software from elgato the image of my ps4 comes up and looks perfect. the problem is when i try to add a video capture source to OBS it shows up but says unavailable in quotes. Ive tried numerous things and tricks and looked all over the internet and can find nothing on it pleas help!!

so in the device selection it shows, elgato helper device(unavailable) , ????? im able to select it but obvi no picture shows up

Which elgato software package did you install? 32-bit or 64-bit? This needs to match the OBS "bitness"

If the Elgato game capture software is open it will be unavailable in OBS. Close Elgato's software if it is open. You don't need it running to use the Elgato with OBS.

Thanks for the advice people! I'll check the "bitness" and also check what version I have. i'll be sure to let everyone know. Thank you again!

i currently have the 64bit of both programs installed, also using the beta. im going to try to download version 2.2.0 to see if that works

so what i did was download the 2.2.0 version and used the 32 bit version of obs and now it shows up correctly in my available video capture devices. Only thing is when i preview it to see if picture actually shows up all it shows is no device and causes obs to constantly not respond?
