cant capture window, only whole display

at a loss here, used OBS for years and then suddenly window capture doesnt work

instead of selecting the window it locks to the whole display, which creates a "tunnel" effect

i have obs installed on identically spec' machines, it captures windows fine

tried rolling back from v27 to v25 which is what another properly working machine is on, no luck

i checked all video settings, tehy are identical in both installs

any fix?

iv'e been having the exact same issue, a work around i've found is use game capture >> capture specific window. though i would like to use window capture again for multiple windows.

Are you sure you are using Window mode and not Display mode? I got that in Display mode and found an answer for it somewhere here. I tried to find it again for you but couldn't. I'll look more later.
