Question / Help Can't Capture much of anything

I'm new to OBS and I can't seem to capture my screen properly. I use a laptop and have my nvidia global settings set to my gpu within the nvidia control panel and have tried to capture the display, window, and game. I'm just trying to capture my screen really, not necessarily a specific game. When I select capture window I can capture some things ( Can anyone point me in the right direction? When I select display capture it lists "display 0" and then nothing shows up. Not sure if that's normal or not.. Let me know if you have any ideas.

You can't display capture while OBS is set to run on the nvidia gpu.
Game capture only works for direct3d or opengl games that are also running on the nvidia gpu.

So if I set obs to my integrated cpu graphics should I be fine?
