Question / Help Can't capture game even OBS is already launched as Admin

Hello,

I'm trying to setup OBS and when I'm trying to game capture, I always get this message on the board
"These applications require administrator access to capture (start OBS as administrator to capture)" I already started OBS as Admin and all of my games have the same result. I have CrossFire, Dota and Ragnarok.
I'm using Win7

Please help.
 
Thanks! Downloaded the updated studio. Now my game capture seems not working and it's only showing black screen but the window and display capture works well.
 
Looks like something is blocking the game from being able to be captured. Check that you don't have any of these, or anything similar to these (NOT a complete list) installed:

Conflicts with Game Capture: Other capture programs, Razer Synapse (disable heatmaps), graphics mods like ENBSeries and SweetFX, and any type of software or utility that displays an in-game overlay like EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, TS3/Mumble overlays, Dolby Axon, Raptr, Overwolf, etc. If you use D3DGear it must be uninstalled completely.
 
Hello. There are no such installed application or related programs that you mentioned in my computer.

It looks like the game you are trying to capture is Ragnarok Online? There might be some kind of aggressive anti-cheat that blocks OBS from being able to capture it with the Game Capture hooks. Try Window Capture instead.
 
Window capture works fine. Game capture does not work to any of my games I have in my PC I only have dota 1, crossfire, minecraft, left 4 dead. Will this be fix? thank you
 
Are you running any kind of antivirus or other security software? Dota, Minecraft, and L4D I know 100% should work fine with game capture.
 
Try uninstalling it completely, temporarily. Many times disabling it doesn't actually do anything but turn off file scanning; all the other "protection" stuff is there.
 
Tried that and still not working. Game capture worked on the game I installed called restaurant empire and banished 2014 and I noticed that the game doesn't minimize even you do alt tab and still running in the background and OBS game capture work. Why is that?
 
Well if you're alt+tabbing from a fullscreen game to check, the game will stop rendering, which means you won't see anything in OBS. You need to make a test recording with the game open and active to verify if it's working or not.
 
Well, it works with the games I mentioned but for some reason the games that I can't make a recording or stream is dota 1, crossfire, minecraft and l4d. All is in black. hmm still looking for solutions.
