Are you trying to add an image? What size is it and what format jpg or png?
Yes, imagine. both 1920x1080 jpg.
For example, 1st imagine: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2TObFzcsUY2VmJpTEtjZ19jM2c/view?usp=sharing OK, but 2nd: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2TObFzcsUY2aHVWell2aWl0WDg/view?usp=sharing no, just black screen.
Both pictures 1920x1080 in .jpg format.
But, at the 2nd picture, when select it, you can see red dot (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2TObFzcsUY2Q0Nsa1dRanVYT1E/view?usp=sharing).
No, when I try to change the size and position of the image, nothing happens.

Well that image seems OK and I can add it to my scene no problem. Often a source can be set to not take up any space in the scene, in that case you need to right click on the source in the Sources list, choose Transform and then choose Fit to Screen, this will bring the source into full screen view and you can resize it from there.
I'm not sure why you are seeing a gray screen though in the properties page. Have you tried saving the image as a jpg (or png) and trying again?

Sorry I just updated my last post, have you tried saving it as a .png file and seeing if that helps?
i add new .jpg scene - same result. png - ok
