Question / Help Can't access the recording file...

Greetings. I've been recording a one hour gameplay,. When I pressed "stop recording". The program froze and it forced me to shut it down. It still somewhat created the mp4 file into my folder. When I tried to access it. it gives me this following error.

Is there a way yo recover this file?

I appreciate the help.

A couple things.

Many default video players do not have good codec support, and can fail to open files created with OBS. Try it in VLC. - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

However, if it froze, then it's unlikely to work anywhere. Below is a recommendation from the OBS Support channel:

Record to FLV or MKV. If you record to MP4 and the recording is interrupted, the file will be corrupted and unrecoverable. If you require MP4 files for some other purpose like editing, remux them afterwards. OBS Studio users select File > Remux Recordings.
