Question / Help Cannot watch recorded clips

I just got OBS today because I want to record some gameplay and maybe stream. I watched some videos and went to the guide on the forum for all my settings. I tried recording some gameplay and then tried watching the clip. I went to the file that I set my clips to save to and it was a movie file that would open in windows movie maker. I went to watch the clip but all that would show is a blank white screen that is 5 seconds long. I recorded about 5 clips varying in length and they all show the same screen and length. I have 2 scenes in the profile I'm using; one for the game and one for the desktop, if that is relevant.

Download VLC and try playing back in that. WMP (and WMM by extension) have abysmal codec support.

If that doesn't work, post a logfile from a recording session. You can find them under the Help menu. It'll show us what's going on, on the back end.

That works, thanks! Also after watching a clip the quality doesn't look to good. What can I do to improve it?
