Question / Help Cannot stream/listen to music while streaming console games

I cannot listen/stream music while also streaming console gameplay without having duplicate game audio.

My setup is as follows:
Xbox 360 is connected to HD PVR2 and astro mixamp. The mixamp is also connected to my PC so I can hear my PC sounds.

If I want to listen to music on my PC, I also hear delayed game sound coming from the PVR. The only way to remove this second game sound is to mute PVR sound, which in turn makes it so my viewers can't hear game sound or PC sound.

Please if anyone knows a work around let me know... It drives me crazy that I can't listen to music while playing console games without the duplicate delayed game audio.

Also, listening to music directly through the Mixamp mp3 port is not a work around. I want my stream to be able to hear everything I'm hearing as well.

With most other capture devices, you can choose to only send capture audio directly to the stream. Unfortunately, as the PVR doesn't work as a standard video capture device, this isn't an option.
You might be able to set up Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) to take the aggregate audio, and have OBS listen to that while sending a limited feed (lacking the PVR's audio stream) to your headphones.

Do be aware that playing copyrighted music on your livestream without a rebroadcasting license is illegal, as it is copyright infringement. A Pandora One account doesn't cover this, nor does a Spotify account, buying a CD, or finding it on YouTube. It leaves you open for a lawsuit if the RIAA/MPAA (or the artist themself) chooses to pursue it. They do not need to use a DMCA takedown, they can come straight for you if they choose to do so.
