Question / Help Cannot see mic input signal after obs crash

I was finalizing a video when the software crashed and now I have no audio coming in from my headset microphone.
I can hear videos using my headset through the desktop audio but the mic is not working when I test it. I even changed my audio setting and nothing. I tested my mic and headset on a hangout conversation to make sure my headphones did not stop working.

I went to Scene collections and tried another setup where I did not adjust any settings and it still does not work.
 
unstable computer, out of date windows. user running one drive + dropbox at the same time, numerous conflicts, culprit in tablet functionality.
The bigger problem here might be you're not technically competent to know what you're doing.
 
Just finished updating my windows and disabling the tablet functionality. Im running dropbox because there are files I was using for my recording.I've reopened obs after updating and resetting my computer. Issue remains, any other helpful solutions?
