Avid OBS user and streamer on Twitch here. I recently got back from vacation and came back to some awesome new headsets from SteelSeries (the V3 Elite Prism's). After plugging them in, installing the software to adjust the LED and audio stuff I noticed an issue with my OBS crashing and giving me that error message.
The log files show this:
"Warning -- MMDeviceAudioSource::Initialize(0): Could not initialize audio client, result = 80070001"
Unfortunately, the only thing I found with this on a Google search was something related to the SteelSeries V2's, but was since fixed a loooong while ago.
So, this is me, opening a thread about this issue I'm having, and hoping some suggestions could be given or a fix could be made for my new headset. I am fairly certain that it's an issue between OBS and my headset because when I switch to a different device, it works just fine. Only using my Elite Prisms gives me the error and causes OBS to crash.
