Bug Report Cannot initialize desktop audio sound (ASUS Xonar U7)

Upon trying to record or stream (or even preview), OBS closes itself due to an alleged format incompatibility.

I am using stereo output with headphones (more specifically a headset).
Toggling dolby home theatre mode on/off didn't seem to make a difference, fiddling with the format (bits / sample rate) didn't seem to solve it, no matter what I pick.

I have also tried to record using OBS Studio, but instead of closing with the error, it just simply doesn't record the sound.

Other programs seem to be just fine with my audio output channel format.

The driver version for the Xonar U7 is:

I quit the Sonic Studio Pro app that can usually be seen in the notification tray (it came with the Xonar U7 driver), and OBS was able to record without crashing.
