Question / Help Cannot delay sources more than 500ms

Hey,

I am trying to delay two sources (one webcam and one window capture) to sync with my elgato (650ms delay). I know that you have to delay them with filters, which used to work in the past. But when I tried it today I could not put in a bigger number than 500ms. 150ms isn't that much of a big deal, but still annoying. And I know that some older Elgatos out there have like 1350ms delay, how the hell are they going to sync their webcam if its capped at 500ms in the "video delay" filter? Is this a bug or did I just make a simple mistake?

Any help's appreciated.

This is intentional if you're using the Render Delay filter, which is designed to be used for non-async sources.

Webcams can use the Video Delay (async) which has a maximum delay of 2 seconds.

Window capture can only have a 500ms delay.

The only Elgato devices with that much delay are the USB2.0 ones, which are old and terrible and should be replaced anyway.

I'm sorry youre right, I completely forget that there was a video delay filter especially for webcams.

So basically there is no way I can sync my window capture? I am not quite sure if this makes sense as there are loads of people switching between their console gameplay and desktop. Is there some sort of workaround for this?

Not currently. The simplest way to get around that would be to create multiple scenes collections.

You can switch those while live, but there will be a short black screen while the old collection unloads and the new one loads. Not long, maybe a second or two at most.
