Question / Help Can you pause your recording?

Hello,

Can someone please inform me if you are able to pause the recording then un-pause it again. I want to record me playing a game then I want to show some post game stats from paint (i screenshotted earlier) or from the browser.

As far as I know you can't. You have to either keep recording and edit it out or stop the recording and start it up again.

The rewrite of OBS is coming along pretty good, but it will take some more time until its usable, and then someone will still have to add the functionality.

I'm rather unknowledgeable when it comes to computing coding, but wouldn't it be simpler to update with a few lines instead of rewriting from the ground up?

It's not a change of just "a few lines". It would take a non-trivial amount of time, and a lot of work. The original OBS isn't being worked on anymore, in favor of the rewrite. You can read about why here: https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/blob/master/README
