Question / Help Can You Have Multiple Game Capture Sources From The Same Capture Card??

I have an Elgato 4K60 that captures game play from my Xbox One X.
I have 2 scenes that have game play capture.
1. General Game Play Scene
2. Intermission Scene

Concept:

Obviously if you change the settings on the capture device it changes it to all regardless of the scene.
I attempted to make another video capture source under a different name, it has not work.

I tried

Removing the other game capture source from all scenes
Experimenting with all resolutions, FPS etc.

I just get a black screen.

Obviously you cannot either do this, or I am doing something completely wrong.

Please help with step by step child proof instructions if applicable, I have been at this for hours.

Thank You

You cannot add a 2nd source that points to the same capture device. If you need to have the source in multiple scenes, just select the same source when you click the + button to add a source (it should show up in the lower section in the pop-up window, just select it).

As such, you cannot use different device settings between scenes -- any settings you use will have to be usable across all the scenes it's included in.

If you need to do things like resizing or cropping, that's independent between scenes and changes to one scene won't affect the other.

If you need to apply different filters, then your best option is to add the video source to a group, and apply the filter to the group. This will let you have different groups for each scene, which have the same capture device as the actual source that it uses, but different filters applied to each.

Right-click on your video capture source, and select "Add to group". You'll need to do this for each scene.

i stumble across this trying to something similar. if you can help me it would be much appreciated. so my mic is delayed cause its doing so much processing. so i offset my elgato (video Capture) and the audio (game sound) of it. but when i try to listen to the game its delayed. and i tried to add another video capture but it doesn't work so i cant hear my audio without it delayed.

Anyway i can hear my audio (game sound) without it being delayed
