Can the battery cause a camera freeze? And can removing it and relying on AC power prevent it?

My camera was frozen on yesterday. To unfreeze, I unplugged the AC cord, and since that wasn't enough, I also removed the battery to force it to power off. (None of the controls worked until I did that and powered it back on.)

That seemed to fix it, but it froze again today.

We don't need the battery - the camera is plugged into AC power. Will removing the battery permanently fix this?

The camera is a Panasonic AG-CX10. OBS log file looks okay to me; I do think it is a camera (and specifically battery) issue.

How are you connecting the camera and did you load the drivers? That is a high end camera with HDMI output. My guess is you will need a video capture card. I see it also has USB but I don't think that is for your config. I don't see any special cables for it in the accessories section so a standard HDMI cable should work. Connect that to a standalone video capture card that converts HDMI to USB and you should be good. Make sure to load the drivers for the video capture card.

Don't know How is it operating by itself without a battery on AC power Does it still have the issue
Is the camera overly warm or hot, any part of it

The power source will or should not be the issue. This is an interaction problem. Please detail exactly how you are connecting the camera to the PC.
