Can special effects be used in OBS classic?

I'm looking to add some special fx to my obs classic.
Wondering if it could be done.
I've tried to put the stream fx plugin to my obs file directory through both pathways program files.
Neither of these options seems to help to appear Stream fx in the plugin archive.
Have I done it right?

OBS Classic is 100% unsupported at this point. StreamFX will definitely not work with it. Update to OBS Studio.

How do I exactly add it and check?
Watched some youtube videos on that one, they seemed not to match with what I'm working with or looking for.

StreamFX provides an installer .exe, if you have the latest OBS Studio installed it should find the install directory and put everything where it needs to go.
