Hi 6mil. May I suggest that you try changing these settings:

-Change the Base Canvas resolution to match your output settings, and turn off downscaling. So set it to 1280 x 720. You'll need to resize any overlays etc.
-Ensure that your camera is also set to 720, 30 fps.
-Reduce audio sample settings to 44.1khz. Ensure that any audio devices you're using match this. I find that Soundflower (using it as an Output Device) is more stable on my older Macs than iShowU Audio.

Take a look at this video, I found it very helpful and it's mac specific :

I hope this helps!

hi there.. thanks for replying.. im sure ive done everything you suggested other than setting webcam to 720, i dont think it can be done. if it can, i just dont know how ... i recorded a 13 mn video today and it had zero lag in audio or video that i seen. the display capture is of good quality, however my video capture is not the greatest.. i have fps set at 30, should i reduce it further? here is my log file if you wanna take a look again .. https://obsproject.com/logs/JC2g1EK09jgD9ZUk
thx for helping out..greatly appreciated

HI @6mil. Am I correct in assuming that you're referring to your camera feed when you say that your video capture is not the greatest? Looking at the log file, it appears that you are dropping frames due to rendering lag. In my experience, having 2 cameras running at the same time can put a Mac under pressure. Most cameras should allow you to change the quality settings of the video. In OBS double click on the Video Capture Device in question and you should have a field for 'resolution' or 'preset', that should give you several options. If none are available then maybe your camera is fixed to a certain resolution. What brand/model of camera are you using? If the camera came bundled with software, you may be able to change the settings in that.
