Hello,

All is in the title:
if I create a new source as "capture window" > Then I select for example Visual Studio Code, it's working.
But if I create a new source as "capture screen", it's a black screen.

I already searched a lot on internet, I watch youtube tutos, also about the NVIDIA parameters, but nothing worked...

I don't know which informations you need to help me, if needed, so tell me I'll send you what you want.

Windows: 10
OBS: 25.0.8 64-bit
PC: portable pc - MSI GF-63 95C
Graphical card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design

Watch screenshot to understand the problem better if needed.
The left side of the screenshot is the capture window, and the right side is capture screen.

Thanks for the help and for your time.

Hello, NoxFly.

I solve this same problem today, using the steps posted by Jim (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/):

Open Windows Settings and search for "Graphics Settings". Select "Classic App" and browse to C:\Program Files\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe (or wherever you have installed OBS). Click "Options" (example screenshot).

If you want to use display capture to capture your screen / desktop, select "Power Saving".
If you want to use game capture to capture a game or use the NVENC encoder, select "High Performance".

Sorry my English, but I´m a Brazilian and I´m studding yet.

Thanks Tyto,
I read this topic but I didn't understand it was the Windows settings instead of the OBS's ones ^^

It's working fine, thanks.
