Question / Help Can only hear one audio track.

Don't rely on windows media player to be good at media playback.
Use VLC.

Also, don't expect multiple audio tracks to play at once. You wouldn't watch a DVD in english, german, japanese and french all talking over each other.

I try VLC it didn't work. I didn't have this issue in 19.0.2 but ever since I update to 20.0.1 I can't fix it.

Media players will ONLY EVER play one audio track at a time.
So I should just put desktop audio and mic audio on track one only? that's how I was able to hear both tracks in VLC and Window Media Player.

I can't separate both tracks in a video editor if I do it like that.

Seperate tracks i would recomend so you can edit your mic audio indipendantly in something liek audacity, however then need to be combined in order to hear the both at the same time. I would set it up so i do a clap or somthign as an identifiable point for audio syncing and then go with recording the mic sepratly. one way i can think of to achive this in windows is to use virtual audio cable to tempoarily put your mic into your desktop output to do the sync clap with obs splitting them instead of recording mic in another program

This might work for recording to a video sharing sites but I want to stream using obs studio.

^ all streams must have the audio on the single track, what i sugessted is for when you are only recording localy to your hard drive
