I used to have no problems using the CLR host plugin on windows 7. I upgraded to windows 10 this weekend and I tried reinstalling the CLR host plugin and I can see the plugin as a plugin but when I want to add it as a source it is not listed.

Little more details:
Using the latest version of OBS656b, I installed the .net framework 4.6 and Visual C++ from MS, I tried using the plugin for both 32 bit and 64 bit. Added it to the seperate folders and started 32bit and 64 bit obs but same result. There are some youtube videos explaining this problem and with solutions like reinstalling it without uninstalling OBS but that didnt work.

Anything I can add to give more information or do to make it work?

framework 4.5 is not Windows 10 compatible so I used to 4.6 one

No idea if this is 32-bit or 64 bit

Update: I also tried the automated installation of CLR browser through Kapchat from Nightdev. https://nightdev.com/kapchat/
The package contains all the netframe and C++ files and installs the plugin to your 32bit and 64bit folder, but even after this the CLR browser will not show up as a source.

Here is the log after installing everything again:
15:05:57: CLR host plugin strings not found, dynamically loading 4 strings
15:05:57: CLRHost::Initialize() attempting to load and start the .NET runtime (null)
15:05:57: CLRHost::Initialize() attempting to use v4.0.30319 .NET runtime
15:05:57: CLRHost::LoadInteropLibrary() load the assembly plugins\CLRHostPlugin\CLRHost.Interop.dll
15:05:58: Video Source Plugin strings not found, dynamically loading 38 strings
15:06:31: CLR host plugin instance deleted; removing dynamically loaded localization strings
15:06:31: Video Source Plugin instance deleted; removing dynamically loaded localization strings

Last game capture log:
2015-10-16, 23:46:32: we're booting up:
23:46:32: CaptureThread: attached to process chrome.exe
23:46:32: D3D9 Present
23:46:32: DXGI Present
23:46:32: (half life scientist) everything.. seems to be in order

Looks like you only installed the CLR host plugin not the clr browser.

wow you were right, for some reason I was using the wrong plugin. One detail though if you download the CLR browser from https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/clr-browser-source-plugin.22/
and you download either the 32-bit or 64 bit version the rar file says CLR browser plugin but when you unpack it, it will say CLR host plugin. Maybe this is why I got confused and searched and installed CLR host plugin when switched to Windows 10. Thanks for yor help and this thread can be closed.
