Question / Help Can not launch stream using NVENC

I am unable to Stream/Record/Preview Stream using NVENC (my goal is to use NVENC for the encoding).

Both the logs and the screenshots you posted are telling you that your drivers are out of date. Install the latest drivers and then it might work.

Yeah that's the one. Then there's something else wrong. Maybe that GPU doesn't actually support NVEnc, its obviously a mobile GPU and they typically take shortcuts for mobile parts to save space and cost. Clearly OBS / NVEnc doesn't think you have the right components installed though. Can you record with Shadowplay with it?

No it says I do not have the right GPU...

Apparently for mobile GPUs, you have to have a "GTX", not a "GT". Your 940M is a GT series card. Therefore, no NVEnc is available. Blame Nvidia, there's a hack to get Shadowplay to work with it if you google for it. But that hack won't work for OBS.
