Can I use OBS to reacord a normal (no issues) video?

I have a normal Laptop with 8GB RAM and core i7-4600U. To be honest, I had a bad experience with OBS because my videos always crash like it has audio, the audio is really fine but the video has 0 fps!!!! Sometimes 20 or 30. I can't solve it, I add the video quality to 1000 bitrate, fps to 30. I still can't understand why my video is so laggy. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Your hardware isn't high end, but should be able to create decent videos.
