Can I get a recommendation for a functioning recording setup?

I've used OBS in the past and I know it's a quality program. The recordings I make play perfectly in all three media players I use. The problem is the editor. YouTube's editor does the job, but the CC is all messed up because it's coded when you upload and doesn't get changed when you edit the video. Windows video editor only supports MP4, so I record in the safer FLV format and reformat as MP4 with VLC media player. There's no sound in the video editor even though it works fine played anywhere else. Alright, I'll download a proper editor used by Hollywood. Lightworks. Aaand the audio desyncs. Can anyone suggest a headache free setup I can use? I use Windows 10 and record Hearthstone with a headset microphone. I just want to record gameplay with a voice over, no camera, trim the beginning, parts where I had to stop for a moment, and the end. That's it. I don't need anything fancy, I just need it to work without me troubleshooting endlessly. I've been in troubleshooting hell for almost a month now on unrelated issues and honestly I just don't have the emotional reserves to go through more of this. I'm sure there's plenty of people here that have a simple setup for recording YouTube videos. Can I get some advice?

I will try this when I have time. Thanks for the suggestion. I honestly didn't know what remux meant lol. I thought it was just called conversion.
