Question / Help Can Heat Cause Encoding Overload?

I had my Encoding Overload yesterday which is something I've not had an issue with since I had gotten my settings correct. I run a dual pc set up so the stream pc is only doing the encoding. I noticed that when I started having this issue, the room was extremely warm, very much unlike normal (I forgot to turn on my A/C's circulation FailFish) and the temps on the CPU were much higher than normal.

Sure, high heat in modern PCs can cause the CPU/GPU to downclock which will take away normal performance. Try a tool like HWmonitor to keep an eye on temps on the PC having issues.
