Question / Help Can’t listen to music playing on my desktop

So I stream with OBS Studio on my PC (Windows 10), using an Elgato HD60 capture card connected to my gaming consoles. I recently set up Nightbot’s AutoDj music player for song requests and it runs on a browser page I have to the side of my screen (OBS picks up the audio from the music player as “Desktop Audio”). But for some reason when I plug in my headphones into the jack in the front of the computer, it won’t output my desktop audio to the headphones.
Can anyone help an extremely non-tech-savvy streamer solve this problemo?
Thanks for reading :)

hi
i think front and backpanel are listed as different device

  1. Open Sound panel
  2. Select Speakers as the default playback device
  3. Go to the "Recording" tab
  4. Right click and enable "Show Disabled Devices"
  5. A recording device called "Wave Out Mix", "Mono Mix" or "Stereo Mix" (this was my case) should appear
  6. Right click on the new device and click "Enable"
  7. Right click on the new device and click "Set as Default Device"
  8. Double click on the new device to open the Properties window
  9. Go to the "Listen" tab
  10. Click on the "Listen to this device" checkbox
  11. Select your HDMI device from the "Playback through this device" list
