Cameras very slow to initialize

Hi there - never had an issue with this before but suddenly my Video Capture Device sources (I have 6 of them, all started having the same issue at the same time) are taking 15 to 20 seconds to load when OBS is launched, and about the same amount of time to load the properties menu for any of them. Both of these things used to happen instantaneously until a few days ago and now this happens every time.

Issue still happens in safe mode and have not made any source/scene changes or updated either OBS or any camera firmware/software between the last time it worked normally and now... so not sure what's made this start happening!

Anyone have any ideas?

Discovered the source of the problem pretty much immediately after posting this - sharing here rather than deleting in case anyone else has the issue in the future:

Everything went back to normal once I uninstalled Riot Vanguard (the anti-cheat software that comes with Riot games - in my case Valorant which I had installed pretty recently). Seems weird but that was the only change I made. My guess is that maybe Vanguard monitors all USB devices in case one of them is something you might be able to cheat in a game with, and that makes the device "in use" upon initialization until Vanguard finishes checking it. Who knows!
