I am new to live streaming from a camcorder - capture device - laptop when we click the button to go live Facebook does not recognize the camera.
we have entered stream key followed all the process what are we missing? Please help so we can be live for Easter message

Please post a logfile from a live session. There's a pinned thread at the top of the forum detailing how to do it.

What capture device are you trying to use? Some do not present as standard video devices and are only usable with the special software they come with; many of those, you have to run their software and Window Capture that with OBS, instead of using the video capture device directly.
You should be able to set up the camera+capture device without needing to go live; it should be visible in the OBS Preview window even if OBS is just sitting idle.
