Hey Guys, I'm having issues with OBS and my camera freezing. I've tried everything I can think of and it just freezes solid after about 5-10 secs. When I uncheck the cameras source and recheck it, it starts up again and freezes after ~5secs.
I've tried both my Logitech C615 and my old Microsoft LiveCam VX-2000. The VX-2000 seems to last a little longer (10 secs) than the C615. I've updated the drivers and software for the C615.
System Specs:
Win 8 64 bit
AMD FX 6300 3.79 GHz 6 core
8GB Ram
I've tried the following in OBS:
Custom Resolution for the Camera Capture
Setting Camera as a Global Source
Encoding: dropping the max bitrate to 1000 (from 3000)
Encoding: Using or not using CBR or CBR padding
Encoding: Using or not using custom buffer size
Advanced: Using or not using "Encode in Full Range"
The one thing that seems to keep the camera's running though is the option under Advanced to "Disable encoding while previewing".
