Bug Report Cam Doesn't work right away.

I have my cam set as a global source, often when I start the stream the cam won't show up, however if I turn the stream off, then back on it shows up. This is true for preview as well. I have a Logitech HD C310 if that helps at all.

I attached my most recent log, It should have 2 stream events, the first one I turned off almost immediately because the camera wasn't coming through, the second the camera is working.

Toggling the scene doesn't do anything either, maybe because it's a global source?

Hm, this is strange, there was actually no report of error in that specific log. I feel like I might need to see another log just to verify

I looked in the log and didn't see any errors either, here's today's same deal, clicked preview, no cam, turned it off and went live and the cam worked..

I have no idea how the code works but maybe obs is trying to pull the video stream before the webcam can provide one?

I just tried taking it off of global devices and toggling it while in preview does make it work, so there's something buggy about the initial call that for whatever reason is resolved if the source is toggled.

There was no report of any errors or failure in that log either. I'm kind of wondering what's going on here, and I'm becoming convinced that whatever it is, it doesn't seem to be OBS' fault. I'm quite baffled. If it fails to connect with the device, it will always give some sort of error or warning on the log file.

I'm not sure, I don't remember it always happening but I couldn't say for sure which release it started on, it's not a big deal toggling the stream every time. I guess we'll just have to see if anyone else reports it as a problem.

Yea, I haven't really heard of this as a problem either. I couldn't conclusively say if it is or isn't OBS' fault though now that I think about it. The directshow code in OBS1 is terrible and needs to be replaced with the newer version, so it's definitely still a possibility.
