Look I get it... im dumb I cant figure this out. I got dark souls on steam I got twitch.tv
I have one laptop I have downloaded OBS and have downloaded and installed DSfix

I jsut want to be able to stream my game and see the chat while I play the game. I have played it in windowed mode and without windowed mode. I have gotten a big blank white square with the game on the outside

I have managed to see mywebcaam once...

what im looking for is someone to help me start over from scratch with OBS and darksould so I can see my chat while im playing . how to set it up

I tried "capture video game and it crashes darksouls."

please help this stupid stupid potato. boonedj on twitch

With DSfix installed, the only way to capture Dark Souls is using Window Capture as Game Capture just causes the game to crash, as you've noticed. Leave Aero enabled. Set borderless windowed mode in the DSFix config file (it's very well documented, so just read carefully and everything should be clear). You may have to disable the Steam overlay for everything to work, I did.

As for seeing chat, the easiest way would be to have a second monitor and put the chat up on that screen.

Just for those with single monitor setups, you can also use your smartphone/tablet for the chat - either via the browser or better "IRC".
