OBS does not support the avermedia encoder as faar as i know. You may nee to switch to XSplit for that. but what OBS Supports is the Intel Quicksync implemented into your Intel Processor. This feature is only supported in the lastest test builds . Try them out but remember they are TEST builds and may or may not work for you.

Aside From that high CPU usage is more or less normal and depends on what you want to do and what your settings are.

With LGHD you can either capture or encode. It can't do both at the same time. Also OBS doesn't support it's H.264 encoder. Even if OBS did support LGHD encoding, you wouldn't want to use it. Horrible quality with bad bitrate effigency. Try the Quicksync (like Tak0r mentioned above). It's better option with better quality.

LGHD is great for capturing source. For example you can play in 1080p and stream 720p. Afaik LGHD does hardware downscaling. Also you can use one source for everything when using LGHD. No messing around with different capturing methods and stuff. And LGHD doesn't cause any input lag to your mice which you'll notice while using software capture.
