So I decided to spend my next salary on a streaming PC so I can have some fun. But I'm having a hard time with the componenets, since I'm not very experienced in that field I'd need some help.
For now I've got these parts in my amazon cart -
MB -
MSI ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97-G45 GAMING

GPU-
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Super Clocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Ram-
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10)

CPU-
Intel Core i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz) (BX80646I74790K)

Apart from my internet connection, will this rig be able to stream decently at 720p 60fps or at least 1080p 60fps?

720@60? Yes, and probably use fast or (maybe) medium preset; that will look amazing at 3000-3500 bitrate and is what I currently use.

1080@60? at veryfast preset and 5000 bitrate it will look good, but that is above twitch's recommeneded max of 3500 bitrate so it is not advised to go that high. 1080@60 is kind of a waist for the most part. yes, it will look super sharp, but people are more concerned with fluidity (fps) and stream content.

i.e. I will watch a good looking 480p@60fps stream with good content before I will watch a 1080@60 with boring one. Dont put to much into quality since some viewers will have trouble even watching it without transcoding (being partnered).

The MSI Gaming 5 will do you better for less, IMO

To answer your question, 720p60 will do wonderful on that build. If you find the performance drops caused by x264 encoding unsatisfactory, then you can swap to NVENC using the GTX 970 (at the expense of some quality, though.. still looks good IMO)
