I am using OBS 26.1.1 and have tried to get the captioning to work properly with a couple different methods. What I have tried is the plugin with Google speech recognition and webcaptioner. Windows 10 on a Dell i7 desktop.
I can caption to Twitch it works just fine, you can see the captions and they are about 95% accurate. However when I stream to another services such as Youtube or another service that uses video.js player I see the CC button on the player but the captions are very sparse, it only gets a small percentage of the words in the stream and it's not consistent. However all of the words come up fine in the preview. Other services that inject captions are properly formatted in these situations.
In debugging this in the OBS logs the SendCaption function is properly called with the correct captions. What appears to be happening is that the OBS SendCaption function isn't properly formatting the caption into the stream.
