Doesn't happen under windows, for me at least, haven't messed with obs in quite a while but as i recall there was another bug with "media source" specifically, tho that was ages ago.. It seems it was never really fixed. I assume this is already known but thought i'd report it anyway.
Recreated bug on Linux mint, all flavours / Ubuntu Studio. Fixing it is easy tho, just recreate the media source, tho it's a bit annoying. It's quite a strange bug.
edit: sending audio from game pc to linux pc as 2.1 audio (surround), it then gets stereo while the media source still is not recreated/old from import. it shows up as stereo anyway in log file so thats useless.
