OBS does not normally cause a BSOD and I know that BSOD. Trust me when I say this -- Get your PC looked at, right now. A random BSOD like that at random intervals, from personal experience I can say with almost absolute certainty -- that is your RAM failing.

No. I am telling you, there is a physical problem with your PC's RAM (memory). If you aren't very experienced with this kind of thing yourself, please have it looked at by someone who is.

What needs to happen first is for your memory to be tested, for example using: http://www.memtest.org/

I would strongly advise against using registry "cleaning" or "optimizing" tools. They are not necessary on NT based OSes and at best, do nothing and at worst, damage your system.

As for the BSOD, try testing with this program: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5361

And I would strongly advise against using a stressing tool (see your own warning at the top of that post) until the initial stability of the components can be confirmed by testing tools. Regarding testing his memory, there is nothing that surpasses Memtest86+ for memory testing and he already did that per my request.

Regarding not using registry cleaners on NT based systems -- the major difference between NT and non-NT Windows OS' is the filesystem, not the registry. And whereas NTFS is indeed a far more robust filesystem, the registry remains every bit as susceptible to junk as a result from software not cleaning up after itself. A prime example -- any software by Microsoft including but not limited to Windows itself will cause severe bloating of the registry over time. It actually used to be the primary cause for instability in Windows. That has been solved somewhat but registry errors can still occur quite easily. And I can vouch for the reliability of Eusing. As with everything caution obviously is key here but like most actual non-malware registry cleaners it does a fine job of creating backups in case something goes wrong.
